A Letter To My Beloved Partner…
Love starts with lust. A pursue of joy & happiness from someone that their appearances & personalities, or smells—triggers endorphins in our brains. It’s the most human of feelings; it intoxicates us when we encounter it, and we yearn for it when we’re without it.
Well, enough for the bullshit. For today Shootupnride love tale, let’s read a love letter from our fellow Striders, Panji.Panjita. Enjoy the read!
Dear Saskia…
Uh, I don’t know how to start this letter, even we have had such amazing long standing relationship experiences over the last 8 years…Hmmm, how about we take a little retrospective of how we started meet?
Dirimu merajai anganku (You ruled my mind)
Kemana kupergi terlintas bayanganmu (Your reflection always cross everywhere I go)
Sesaat kucoba untuk tenang… (For a moment, I tried to calm…)
…Semakin terasa aku tergila-gila (…The more I was crazy (about you)

From the first I see you, I know we were meant to be together. Clean black & blue FU-150, you are the special bike that makes its rider feeling special. That’s why, I give you a special name, “Saskia”, My special Satria (Indonesian name for Knight). So special, that even makes morning ride to campus getting exciting because your slim design & construction, that welcome its rider to spent time together. It’s not just commuting, it’s more like dancing, and I always crave for it!
Maybe, your name sounded feminine, I don’t care, because people with Saskia name are powerful women, from social activist, doctor, world-class football player, even Muay Thay fighter! Hey, maybe because of that, you become dependable at anywhere, from hectic urban streets, circuit, even…
…Yeah. Maybe it’s not suitable for something beautiful with feminine name, crossing those deep mud. But I always ready for faced it, because when we faced obstacle, you always stay strong and scream a warcry :
“I am Saskia! The Satria of Panjita!”
Everywhere when I explored the world, you always be accompany me, even in the worst condition…
Hey Saskia, which was your favorite road trip? Ah yes, I also still remember that our longest tour, from Bandung to Bali island! Even starting solo, I never feeling scared & sceptic, because I accompanied by you. Ah, If I were King of Great Britain, no doubt I will give you title “Her Royal Highness”, just like Princess Saskia of Hanover!
Or, how about our adventure with Douglas (the red-white Suzuki Shogun FD 125 above) at Bromo mountain? Remember when we having fun together, from jumping here & there, hacking through the puddle of water & mud, smile & laughing, ah…Those magical dirty yet lovely adventure…
Because with your spirit & capability, I was getting reluctant to modifying you. Or, you just too proud with your stock factory parts? Moreover, with some little customize to fit my body, you’re just perfect to become a Satria. Asphalt, country tarmac, sand & gravel? You hit em up, and still maintain your graceful look. What a bike!
With you, I learn & experienced many things. From riding technique to control your potency, digging more about bikers world and its dynamics, and of course, meeting with friends & new people.
“Saskia, there’s no bored time when I ride with you, because there always new things that spice up my life…”
Maybe, this is the sad part of this letter…Saskia, nowaday we’re rarely together again, and in this part, I will be honest : You ain’t first “Saskia”. There was another blue FU-150 that accompany my high school days…
Hold your anger Saskia, first, because I just too unwilling to recite that sad stolen case at Sukajadi, 2006, and second, because you…You success to steal my heart. Hahaha, indeed it sounds rag & cliche, but because that’s the what man only trick to seduce girl that he loved, right Saskia?
And yes, I may end up being charmed by another type of partner because they offer something different. But in the end I will always come back to you, because your simplicity, strength, and the history that we both experience…
Anyway, since I work in the capital city, please take good care of your brother, Kuro (the black CBR250 from Pangundaran tales), and I promise someday when we meet again, let’s riding together again, because Saskia…
…Even you ain’t my first and last bike, you always be my faithful companion. The torch that light when my life getting depressed, the cure of my riding & adventure addiction…
My black & blue knight, Saskia. You aren’t just any bike. You are my bike. You always be my Satria.

cuman faktor selera om, saya bukan tipe top speed oriented rider ataupun acceleration freak dan kebetulan saya ngerasa part bawaannya udah cukup mumpuni (malah saya ngerasa ada beberapa potensi yang belom dimaksimalin…hehehe). Sebenernya bukan anti mainstream, cuman aliran modifikasi mayoritas user FU belum sesuai sama kebutuhan saya
